MOTORCYCLISTS

I have had it with these commercials telling the general public to 'look, look, look for motorcyclists' at an intersections. Why the hell should I go out of my way to look EXTRA just for them? THEY are the ones taking the risk just being on a motorcycle to begin with. If they want to drive recklessly, they get what they deserve. And no, I dont' feel mean about that statement because many a time I've had a patients (motorcyclists) who practically die as a result of an accident they caused (and oh they didn't bother to wear a helmet) and the only stupid thing they can say is ' I'll be able to ride again right?' Yeah, sure you jackass, maybe next time you'll actually drop dead so I don't have to waste my precious time caring for you. Before you get on your motorcycle again though, stop by so I can give you a PUNCH IN THE FACE!

SWINE FLU

Has anyone taken into consideration the fact that all of these Mexicans (or probably most of them) that have died from the oh so scary Swine Flu probably already had horrible health histories to begin with? Not to mention the fact that their health care isn't even close to what we have available here. Oh no! That would make too much sense. I love the way one of the news correspondents thought it would be a good idea to ask the head of the CDC if he would approve of his wife or daughter traveling to Mexico right now. What do you think? That was one of the dumbest questions I have ever heard. Leave it to the media.
